The Tennessee River skirts three sides of Carl Cowan Park, providing paddling and fishing opportunities for visitors.

In addition, the park features a slash pad, sports fields, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds and paved and natural surface trails.

The park, located at 10058 Northshore Drive, is open from dawn to dusk.
