Applications are taken between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Beginning August 1, 2024, we will no longer be able to scan plans larger than 11X14, if applying in person. Larger plans must be submitted in pdf format.
- Bring one copy of plans {structure drawings) including a site plan. If plans are larger than 11X14, we will need a copy in a pdf format.
- Commercial plans must be stamped by a State of Tennessee licensed Architect/Engineer.
- Obtain a Certified Address sheet from Knoxville-Knox Planning. The address request form can be
- found here online. Complete request form and return to addressing@knoxplanning.org, or call 865-215-2507.
- Bring a drainfield layout from the health department if the dwelling is on a septic system. For a new addition or accessory building, please bring certification of septic system. Contact the Knox County Health Department 865-215-5200, if you have any questions.
