The Knox County Safe Routes to School Partnership works to make it safer, easier and more fun for kids to walk and bike to school.
Safe Routes to School in Knox County is making a difference because:
- Children benefit from being physically active - both physically and mentally.
- Safe neighborhoods for walking mean more physical activity and better health for children and adults.
- Less traffic around schools will mean better air quality for our kids and our neighborhoods.
- Kids who are more physically active perform better at school.
Watch the videos below for a few tips to ensure children are walking to school safely.
